Question 1: What was the general strategy or plan behind your
bot design?
The basic plan was to get maximum traction with the big, fat tires and to get the plow blade as low to the ground as possible.
Question 2: What technologies/mechanisms did you use?
Four motors and a tilting plow blade on the front.
Question 3: What was the most challenging aspect of construction?
Keeping the bot under the 2lb. weight limit.
Question 4: Are there any special features you care to talk
about?
While I havent seen any visual proof yet of the concept, I believe that the tilting plow mechanism allows more of The Plow's weight to transfer back to the rear tires when another bot engages it without causing the plow blade to lose contact with the ground.
Question 5: What surprised you about how your bot behaved/performed
during the event?
I really wasn't that surprised about how The Plow acted. I was a little disappointed about its performance. I think the design is solid, and I think some programming tweaks will improve its performance in future events.
