Simplicity and Luck.

Two motors and two touch sensors.

Question 3: What was the most challenging aspect of construction?

Completing the bot in time for the event.

Question 4: Are there any special features you care to talk about?

Two motors and two touch sensors.

Question 5: What surprised you about how your bot behaved/performed during the event?

All things considered, I was surprised how well it worked. Although it didn't complete the maze, it did manage to navigate the maze without getting stuck, which means that given enough time it would have made it through.
